Registration FAQ

The original FAQ content is carried into the PHP development build.

How do I sign in? I never created a password.

There are no passwords. On /auth you enter your email address or your child's Player Passport Number and we email a secure verification link. Tapping it signs you in and takes you to the next step of whatever you started.

What is a Player Passport Number?

It is the permanent Cape Town Spurs F.C. identity number issued to your child the first time you register them. It never changes and is used for trials, check-in, registration, camps, payments and renewals. Lost it? Use /passport-recovery.

Which programmes need a trial?

Advanced Development Squad (ADS) and High Performance Development Squad (HPDS) are entry by trial only. First Touch and Little Warriors need no trial — register for those directly.

How do I register a brand-new player?

For First Touch and Little Warriors there is no trial and no code — register directly at /players/new?mode=foundation, upload the birth certificate for age verification and pay; a Player Passport Number is issued as part of the registration process. For HPDS and ADS you must first attend an open trial at /trials. Once your child passes we email a once-off onboarding code; enter it at /new-player to continue.

Can I register straight into ADS or HPDS?

No. You must first book and attend an open trial at /trials. Only players who pass receive an onboarding code to complete registration.

What happens on trial day?

Arrive with boots, shin pads and water and follow the reporting time on the booking. Check in with your Player Passport/trial details, collect the bib allocated to you, and report to the assessors. Assessors score seven criteria across technical, physical and tactical work.

How do I know if my child passed?

Assessors score the trial and the club office confirms the final decision. Results are communicated to the guardian; successful players receive an onboarding code and the outcome is also reflected in the UWSS workflow.

I have an onboarding code — what now?

Go to /new-player and enter the onboarding code. You then continue through /onboarding to complete player details, sizing, required documents, legal acknowledgements and payment.

My child already plays for Urban Warriors. Do we trial again?

Returning players use /renewal with their Player Passport Number and the renewal code issued by the club. Foundation players can register for the new season directly where the programme window is open.

Do holiday camps need a trial or a passport?

No trial is required. Holiday camps are open to children including players from other clubs. Current camps are shown at /camps.

What does it cost?

Trial and camp fees are shown on each available session. Programme registration and monthly fees are listed at /programmes and the season fee tables at /rates. Signed-in families see the payment options applicable to their registration.

Is the trial fee refundable?

Trial refund/cancellation rules are governed by the club terms for the booking. Signed-in members can review the applicable terms in their registration documents or contact Club Office.

My child is on the edge of an age group.

Age groups are calculated from the date of birth on the Player Passport, so the platform only shows eligible sessions and programmes. If the date of birth is incorrect, contact Club Office.

How can a company advertise or sponsor a player?

The advertising and sponsorship page is at /advertise. It covers website advertising, ground/facility placements and player sponsorship enquiries managed by Club Office.

How is our personal information handled?

Guardian, medical and emergency details are used to operate the soccer schools in line with POPIA. Uploaded identity/supporting documents are private and restricted to authorised club administrators.
